by R. Doull
The third CD from a hardworking trio who have been slogging around BC and Alberta for the past thirteen years. They are popular on the small festival circuit earning many of their fans out in the band shells and the dusty fields of the interior. They describe their music as alt-country or cow punk. They are at their best when they take it into rock and roll.
Introspection and ballads are not their long suit. Fast and loud is what they do well. Eleven new tracks all written by Pernell who is also the lead vocalist and guitar player. Tom Tischer is the drummer and Ross Christopher Fairburn plays bass, banjo and mandolin. Cory Hawthorne guests on electric guitar on three tracks.
